Skopelos

Loutraki (Glossos)

Nothing special, but last night was in the very busy harbour of Skiathos, with at least 4 restaurants competing to have the loudest music. One of the live bands probably did some nice things, but the mix of the competing sounds was pretty awful, and was still going at 5am……
So tonight we have only one band, and they are quite nice. Violin, island style and just one band….
We are anchored next to the breakwater. Had a lovely snorkel, lots of small fish in the water. Caught some things that, in retrospect, we think might be protected, so you can't see the photo, and we won't get them again, but they were delicious!!
Next to the boat is a regular eruption of gas, carrying debris from the bottom up with it. I don't know if it's from decaying matter, or geo-thermal, but it's great fun. Stinks a bit. Anne is terrified that we may be volcanoed, Sabine thinks it's totally gross that I like the smell….
planning a 5am start to get across a pile of open water to Chalkidiki, hopefully Nea Moudhia, on our way to Salonika.
